Questions, answered

How much hose comes with the SaltRinse?

Two metres of hose comes with every kit. That's enough to hang the pump over the side and still wash down the deck, the bin and your gear without having to move the pump around.

Can it draw straight out of the sea?

Yes, that's exactly what it's built for. Drop it over the side of the boat and it pulls salt water straight out of the sea, or you can run it out of a bucket of salt water on the deck if that's easier. No tank to fill and nothing to plumb in.

How long does the battery last on a charge?

Up to 3 hours of run time on a full charge, which is a lot of wash downs. It recharges with the included charger, so there's no swapping batteries or pulling anything apart.

Will salt water damage the pump over time?

No. It's designed to be submerged in salt water, that's the whole point of it. When you're finished, pop it in the mesh bag and let it air dry.

How strong is the spray?

It runs at 25 PSI and pushes 5 litres a minute, so there's enough grunt to get blood and scales off the deck and the salt off your gear before you head home. It's a proper rinse, not a trickle.

Can I use it as an emergency bilge pump?

Yes. It shifts 5 litres a minute, so if you take on water it will move it, and it's a handy backup to have on board. I'd treat it as an emergency option rather than a replacement for your proper bilge setup.

What comes in the box?

The pump, 2 metres of hose, the nozzle, the live bait aerator attachment, the charger, and a mesh bag to air dry the kit after use and keep everything together.
