About the founder

Dan is the founder of Compass & Creek. After countless camping trips, hikes and days on the water around New Zealand, he kept running into outdoor gear that didn't quite do what it should, so he started designing better solutions.

When he's not working on new gear, you'll usually find him outdoors hiking, camping, mountain biking, surfing, fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking or canyoning.
